When registering, you will be asked to pay 20 CHF entrance fee. Please note that the entrance fee will be refunded to the participants at the event! With this we try to reduce no-shows & foodwaste. BaselHack offers free food & drinks at the event for all participants. Please send us an email to info@baselhack.ch if you can not afford the refundable entrance fee or if have no credit card / Twint.

 

BaselHack is an annual hackathon that has been held since 2017. Young and young-at-heart developers, technology fanatics, designers and other interested persons meet in every autumn and spend a weekend tinkering and developing various ideas. The goal of the hackathon is to get from an idea or a concrete problem to a first, functional prototype (software or hardware) in just a few hours. At the end of the hackathon weekend, the teams - which have come together at the beginning of the hackathon - present their prototypes. A technically experienced jury looks at the presentations and prototypes, and chooses the best in various categories.

 - Any participant can pitch an idea on the first day (max. 5 minutes per idea pitch) at 09:30
 - Any idea is welcome as long as it stays legal, and do not do evil!
 - After all pitches are done, you have a few minutes to go around and talk to the participants, whose ideas you have most liked
 - Starting 10:30 teams are built and from 11:00 each team will start to work on its own.  

- The BaselHack is a non-commercial association and is supported by volunteer work.

- Participation is free of charge (entrance fee of 20 CHF for the ticket will be refunded in cash at the event)

Der BaselHack ist ein seit 2017 jährlich durchgeführter Hackathon. Dabei treffen sich junge und junggebliebene Entwickler*innen, Technologie- Fanatiker*innen, Designer*innen und andere interessierte Personen im Herbst und tüfteln ein Wochenende lang an verschiedenen Ideen. Ziel vom Hackathon ist jeweils in wenigen Stunden von der Idee oder einer konkreten Problemstellung zu einem ersten, funktionalen Prototypen zu gelangen. Am Ende des Hackathons präsentieren die diversen Teams – welche sich am Anfang des Hackathons zusammengefunden haben – ihre Prototypen. Eine technisch versierte Jury schaut sich die Präsentationen und Prototypen an, und kürt die besten in verschiedenen Kategorien.

 - Jede*r Teilnehmer*in kann am ersten Tag um 09:30 Uhr eine Idee pitchen (max. 5 Minuten pro Ideen-Pitch).
 - Jede Idee ist willkommen, solange sie legal ist und keine bösen Absichten verfolgt!
 - Nachdem alle Pitches beendet sind, haben die Teilnehmer*innen einige Minuten Zeit, um herumzugehen und mit den Teilnehmer*innen zu sprechen, deren Ideen ihnen am besten gefallen hat
 - Ab 10:30 Uhr werden die Teams gebildet und ab 11:00 Uhr beginnt jedes Team für sich zu arbeiten.

Der Eintrittspreis von 20 CHF wird am Event an die Teilnehmer*innen rückerstattet! Damit versuchen wir No-Shows & Foodwaste zu reduzieren. Gratis Essen & Trinken am Event für Teilnehmer*innen.

- 10:00 bis 10:30 Teilnehmer stellen sich in die Warteschlange und pitchen ihre Projekt-Idee (diejenigen, die eine Idee pitchen wollen; 2 Minuten pro Pitch)
- 10:30 bis 11:00 Teambildung: Die Teilnehmer gehen zu dem Pitch, der ihnen am besten gefallen hat
- 11:00 bis 12:30 Beginn der Teamarbeit: Ideenfindung und Codierung
- 12:30 bis 13:30 Mittagessen
- 13:30 bis 18:30 Teamarbeit / Coding
- 18:30 bis 19:30 Abendessen
- 19:30 bis 23:00 Teamarbeit / Coding
