BaselHack, an annual hackathon since 2017 in Basel, attracts developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts each autumn for a weekend of coding and prototype development. Teams form spontaneously and work on software or hardware projects, judged by a panel based on various criteria. Organized by BaselHack Verein, a non-profit, the event welcomes volunteers and is funded by sponsors covering costs like location, catering, and prizes (10'000 - 20'000 CHF).
